All area Service Providers are invited to a special Compassion Fatigue Workshop, May 22nd, at 9:00 am in at the Miami, OK Civic Center.
This workshop is designed to assist and equip Service Providers including Law Enforcement, Firefighters, Medical, Spiritual and support personnel to avoid burnout and maintain resiliency in today’s world.
Major items included in the agenda are items entitled, “The High Cost of Caring” and “Compassion Fatigue” in the lives of Service Providers.
The facilitator is Joe B. Williams FBI chaplain and former Chaplaincy Specialist for the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma. Joe has experience working in the aftermath of the bombing of the Federal Building in Oklahoma City in 1995, in New York City following the terrorist attack on the world Trade Center in 2001 and after Hurricane Katrina. Joe has conducted Compassion Fatigue Seminars for groups including law enforcement, medical, spiritual and military personnel.
